Siemens has unveiled three Cyber Security Operations Centers located in Milford, Ohio, in the U.S. and in Lisbon, Portugal, and Munich, Germany, for industrial facilities protection.
The CSOCs will house industry security specialists tasked to monitor facilities around the globe for cyber threats, send out warnings to companies regarding incidents and coordinate possible countermeasures, Siemens said Thursday.
The company added that these measures are part of its Plant Security Services program that provides security implementation through surveillance to address a “call for protective action” for the automation environment.
Siemens’ Plant Security Services uses products from Intel Security — Siemens’ collaboration partner — including McAfee VirusScan, McAfee Application Control, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, the company said.
