Lockheed Martin has received a seven-year contract to provide forecasting tools to Oman Airports Management Co. for operations management functions at airports in the Middle East country.
Lockheed said Tuesday it will supply its BEONTRA-built B Capacity and B Tactical platforms for OAMC to develop strategic resource plans and support daily operations at Salah and Muscat International Airports and at Oman Air.
BEONTRA, which provides planning and demand forecasting tools for the aviation sector, became a subsidiary of Lockheed upon its acquisition in 2014.
B Capacity works to help users analyze capacity flows and constraints at airports, while B Tactical is designed to provide schedule-based air traffic forecasts to facilitate strategic planning efforts.
Mark Cooper, managing director of transportation at Lockheed, and OAMC CEO Aimen Ahmed Al Hosni signed the contract at Passenger Terminal Expo in Cologne, Germany.
