Inmarsat has received a Mobility Satellite Innovation Award from the Mobile Satellite Users Association in recognition of the company’s Global Xpress satellite communications constellation.
Inmarsat accepted the 2016 Top Government Mobility Satcom Innovation award during MSUA’s inaugural awards ceremony at the four-day Satellite 2016 conference in Maryland, Inmarsat said Tuesday.
Peter Hadinger, president of U.S. government business unit at Inmarsat, said the recognition seeks to affirm the constellation’s performance in delivering mobile satcom services to government users and interoperability with the military satcom system.
Inmarsat’s Global Xpress constellation is built to provide Ka-band mobile communications services to government and commercial clients and is designed to work with the Wideband Global Satcom network.
