Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas) and Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe will be among the keynote speakers at a FireEye-hosted forum to be held in Washington April 12.
FireEye said Tuesday that Hurd and McAuliffe will headline the FireEye Government Forum with the theme “The Path to Cyber Resilience†with attending FireEye executives David DeWalt, board chairman and CEO, and Kevin Mandia, president.
Hurd is a member of the House Homeland Security Committee and authored a provision in the Cybersecurity Act of 2015 that seeks to advance network security efforts in the federal government.
McAuliffe has spearheaded efforts to promote cybersecurity training and education in Virginia and bolster the state’s approach to programs against cyber threats.
The annual forum will also feature a panel discussion with Earl Matthews, vice president of enterprise security solutions for the U.S. public sector at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Rod Turk, chief information security officer at the Commerce Department, as panelists.
