Steve Orrin is Intel chief technologist for the federal division where he oversees the division’s cybersecurity and cloud strategy, architecture and engagements.
Orrin came to the Intel federal division in 2005 when it acquired Sarvega where he served as chief security officer.
He has since assumed various leadership positions at Intel that put him in charge of strategy and projects on cybersecurity and the creation of Trusted Compute Pools Secure Cloud Architecture.
Orrin joined Sarvega after serving as chief technology officer for web application security testing and firewall software pioneer Sanctum.
Prior to that, Orrin co-founded and worked as CTO for web security provider LockStar.
He also held CTO and chief architect positions at SynData Technologies.
Orrin has been recognized in the industry as one of InfoWorld’s Top 25 CTO’s of 2004 and named a fellow at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies in 2009.
He holds a bachelor of arts in honors research biology from Kean University.
