Irvine, Calif.-based software company Cylance has been accredited to carry out independent reviews of cloud computing technologies for federal agencies as part of the government-wide Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
Cylance is now one of 33 companies to be certified as a FedRAMP program third-party assessment organization by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, Cylance said Tuesday.
“The Cylance mission is to protect every endpoint on the planet, and a key part of that mission is strong support for national cybersecurity efforts of the United States,†said Cylance President and CEO Stuart McClure.
FedRAMP is intended as a standardized approach for the government to assess security of cloud products and manage authorization and continuous monitoring functions for cloud services.
