Cubic subsidiary TeraLogics has been awarded a $1.4 million Defense Information Systems Agency contract to build on the business unit’s video dissemination services to support U.S. Africa Command‘s airborne, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance requirements.
Cubic said Monday TeraLogics will install its Unified Video Dissemination System AISR architecture at the U.S. European Command Defense Enterprise Computing Center in an effort to provide real-time full-motion video support for AFRICOM tactical operations.
TeraLogics will also assist in the implementation of a transcoding service for UVDS-disseminated FMV, Cubic added.
Mike Twyman, executive vice president of communications, intelligence and surveillance systems at Cubic Global Defense, said the installation of UVDS in EUCOM aims to optimize latency, performance, overall user experience and the C4ISR capabilities of warfighters.
