Cubic‘s global defense unit has completed the demonstration of its tactical training tool that works to provide situational awareness for pilots of designated aggressor aircraft.
The company said Wednesday its Bandit Board kneeboard tablets were deployed on two Draken International fighter aircraft and worked to relay live information from the P5 Combat Training System using the Cubic Miniature Encryptor for added data security.
Cubic added that its P5 CTS works to transmit time, space and positioning information as well as supports mission data recording for participating aircraft that lack the Link 16 data exchange network.
Dave Buss, Cubic senior vice president, said Bandit Board serves as an added application to P5 CTS’ air combat training offerings.
