Computer Sciences Corp. has received a five-year contract to refresh a digital policing workplace used by London’s police department.
CSC will implement its MyWorkstyle end-user service in order to update the Metropolitan Police Service’s information technology environment under the agreement, the company said Tuesday.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to transform how the police force uses IT as a key enabler in their move to digital, which is vital at a time of budgetary constraints and heightened demand on the Met Police,†said Damien Venkatasamy, CSC industry general manager for the U.K. public sector.
Employees will have access to information and applications within the department’s locations through the service, CSC says.
The company will also supply desktop, virtual desktop, mobility, tablet services, email, collaboration, instant messaging, web meetings, remote support and desk-side support to Scotland Yard.
