Boeing has received a $34 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to deliver 30Â QF-16 full-scale aerial target units with corresponding four-year warranties.
The Defense Department said Monday work will occur in St. Louis, Missouri, through April 9, 2018, while the warranties will expire on April 8, 2022.
The full obligated amount at the time of award is from fiscal 2016 procurement funds, DoD added.
QF-16 units, which are crafted from retired F-16 aircraft, serve as targets for combat training and weapon testing of U.S. warfighters.
