Belkin has obtained a security certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership for its portfolio of keyboard, video and mouse switches.
The Playa Vista, Calif.-based company’s Secure KVM Switching platforms secured the Common Criteria accreditation through NIAP’s protection profile for Peripheral Sharing Switch Version 3.0, Belkin said Friday.
NIAP, a National Security Agency-run program, issues the PP3.0 certification to information technology products that work to safeguard government networked systems and data from threats associated with unauthorized peripheral devices.
The certification covers Belkin’s Secure Flip KVP and Secure Keyboard/Mouse Switch offerings.
The company expects to receive the PP3.0 certification for its Secure Windowing KVM with Advanced Viewing Technology platform by April 4.
