AT&T to Provide Comm Support Via DISA’s Global Networking Services Contract; Kay Kapoor Comments

AT&T plans to bid on task orders to provide communication services to the Defense Information Systems Agency as part of the $4.3 billion Global Networking Services contract the agency awarded in December.

The company said Tuesday it can deliver software-defined networking, Ethernet, network integration as well as global and regional transport services through the contract.

Kay Kapoor, president of AT&T’s global public sector business and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2016, said the award works to align with the company’s efforts to provide technology support to the military.

As covered in our GovConWire publication,  AT&T is one of eight companies that have received positions on DISA’s 10-year GNS contract.
