Rebecca Nolan has joined AECOM as executive vice president for the engineering and construction company’s buildings and places business in the Americas region.
The company said Friday Nolan will head a Chicago-based AECOM team of more than 2,000 architects, planners, engineers and interior designers, among others, under the position.
Fred Werner, AECOM group president for design and consulting services, said Nolan will contribute to AECOM’s building projects for urban environments.
Nolan joined AECOM from HOK, where she served as the managing principal of its St. Louis and Chicago offices and a member of its executive committee.
She is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects and a member of the International Interior Design Association, CoreNet Global and the International Facility Management Association.
The 35-year industry veteran is also a board member for various organizations such as Youth In Need, a nonprofit agency for at-risk youth and their families.
