Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky business has designated UI Helicopter as an authorized customer support center in South Korea to provide sourcing services for repair and overhaul to customers in the country.
Sikorsky S-76 and S-92 helicopter operators in South Korea will have access to overhaul services through the center based in Yesan, Lockheed said Wednesday.
“UI Helicopter has more than proved through years of professionalism and discipline the ability to maintain, repair and overhaul large helicopters,†said Christophe Nurit, Sikorsky’s vice president for Asia.
Among other customers in the country, the Korean Air Force operates three S-92 helicopters for executive transport and the Korean Coast Guard uses one for search and rescue operations.
UI Helicopter provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services to helicopter clients.
