A Raytheon subsidiary has agreed to combine its speech-to-text conversion technology with Entrada‘s cloud-based mobile productivity platform as the companies aim to simplify the documentation of patient data.
Entrada’s technology is designed to help caregivers dictate a patient’s narrative into an electronic health record via a mobile application, Raytheon said Monday.
The mobile-based healthcare platform will be integrated with Raytheon BBN Technologies-built speech recognition tool that works to automatically transcribe dictation.
“Our technology leverages decades of world-class research in speech recognition and natural language processing,” said Ed Campbell, president of Raytheon BBN Technologies.
Raytheon added Entrada’s mobile productivity platform is designed to also secure caregiver-patient messaging as well as reference medical information directly from an EHR.
