Randy James, line of service executive at CSRA, has said the company plans to introduce its in-house managed cybersecurity framework to federal government customers in an effort to help them protect their networks from cyber threats, the Washington Business Journal reported Thursday.
James Bach writes CSRA’s cybersecurity model involves the use of cyber tools acquired from partners and third-party vendors in order to help CSRA analysts monitor and respond to potential cyber attacks.
CSRA also teamed up with Carbon Black in an effort to gain access to a Carbon Black-built cyber platform that works to track and contain cyber threat actors on computer networks, the report said.
“Some agencies are embracing [cybersecurity as a service] faster than others, some are taking the approach of them managing it and using us as an outsource arm, but then some of the agencies are looking very much at us providing a managed service,” James told the Journal.
CSRA was established in November 2015 after Computer Sciences Corp. agreed to merge its U.S. government services unit with SRA International.
