Modern Technology Solutions Inc. landed a $22.6 million contract from the Washington Headquarters Services to provide technical engineering services to the Defense Department‘s Strategic Capabilities Office.
The department said Friday work will occur in Arlington, Virginia, through Feb. 24, 2021.
Defense Secretary Ashton Carter formed SCO in 2012 to help maintain DoD’s munitions, stealth, cyber and space capabilities.
“[SCO will] help us to re-imagine existing DOD and intelligence community and commercial systems by giving them new roles and game-changing capabilities to confound potential enemies — the emphasis here was on rapidity of fielding, not 10 and 15-year programs,” Carter said in a speech regarding the defense budget on Feb. 2.
