Louis Berger, New Jersey Future, Rutgers University and the Natural Resources Defense Council have collaborated to formulate a program meant to help the state of New Jersey address water infrastructure management challenges.
The A∙I∙M∙S4  program comprises a variety of tools that are designed for local agencies and utilities to manage urban sewer and stormwater systems in the state, Louis Berger said Wednesday.
“The water infrastructure in New Jersey’s urban communities is aging and largely inadequate to meet present and future demands,” noted Niek Veraart, Louis Berger vice president of environmental planning.
“Louis Berger is proud to have been involved in the development of this program with the other partners, and hope that New Jersey’s utilities and Departments of Public Works will begin using it to address these challenges soon,” Veraart added.
The company helped develop the framework through Jersey Water Works, a cross-sector partnership focused on exploring sustainable approaches to transform New Jersey’s aging water infrastructure.
