IBM and Avnet Government Solutions have jointly introduced a new security-as-a-service offering for public sector clients in an effort to help bolster their cloud security postures.
Under the partnership, Avnet customers will have access to IBM’s services such as BigFix for endpoint security, QRadar security analytics platform and the Guardium data security tool, Avnet said Wednesday.
AGS SaaS Protect works to help secure laptops, workstations and servers from cyber attacks in the form of malware, social engineering and phishing campaigns, the company added.
Scott Ryan, North America vice president of IBM security systems, said the partnership aims to deliver security intelligence to partners and government agencies.
As part of the partnership, Avnet Government Solutions will also provide security service offerings intended to help business partners develop subscription-based tools for their clients.
