Hitachi Data Systems has introduced a new hyper scale-out platform combined with Pentaho enterprise platform in an effort to help customers meet big data requirements.
The HSP 400 series incorporates compute, storage and virtualization technologies designed to support big data integration, embedded business analytics and data management tasks, Hitachi said Wednesday.
Sean Moser, senior vice president of global portfolio and product management at Hitachi Data Systems, said new architecture with Hitachi hyper scale-out platform is designed to help clients address data silos and complexity.
The new architecture is designed for users to automate and deploy virtualized environments for Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark and Hortonworks data platform.
The offering will be available in the Serial Attached SCSI disk drives and all-flash configurations in mid-2016.
