Harris Corp. will supply tactical vehicular radios, handheld radios and intercom systems to the Philippines’ armed forces under a $12 million contract.
The contract covers the provision of Falcon III RF-7800V Combat Net Radio, RF-7800I intercom systems and handheld Falcon RF-7800V VHF Combat Net Radio to the Philippine army’s light armored division, Harris said Tuesday.
Brendan O’Connell, president of tactical communications at Harris, said the radios will work to help the Philippines’ uniformed personnel obtain situational awareness and carry out command and control missions.
The Philippines’ armed forces placed the order as part of its communications modernization initiative.
