General Dynamics will help implement and maintain QGroup-built servers in an effort to protect the German federal armed forces’ information technology networks from security vulnerabilities under a contract held by the latter company.
The contract with Germany’s armed forces covers work to deploy of QTrust Server platform that runs on the General Dynamics-built PitBull Trusted Operating System, General Dynamics said Monday.
Nadia Short, vice president and general manager of General Dynamics’ cyber systems division within its company’s mission systems unit, said the company completed the migration of PitBull to Red Hat’s Enterprise Linux platform through its alliance with QGroup.
The PitBull Trusted OS works to secure data from internal and external network threats through compartmentalization and integrity and access controls.
QGroup also incorporated General Dynamics’ OS with QTrust Release Gateway, QTrust Admin Proxy, QTrust 2go and other offerings under its QTrust product line through the partnership.
