General Dynamics landed a $34.7 million foreign military sale contract to provide logistics support for Taiwan’s Improved Mobile Subscriber Equipment system.
The Defense Department said Friday the firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract has an estimated completion date of Dec. 28, 2019.
General Dynamics will carry out work in Taiwan.
The mobile subscriber equipment system is the U.S military’s tactical communications network developed in the 1980s, during which General Dynamics also served as prime contractor.
The company provided the system’s exportable version — the IMSE system — to Taiwan in 2001.
