The U.S. Army has awarded five companies a $49 million contract to produce nonstandard weapons components for several international clients under a foreign military sales agreement.
Culmen International, Defense Technology, Multinational Defense Services, Sierra Four Industries and UDC USA will perform work through Feb. 18, 2021, the Defense Department said Thursday.
The companies will produce the weapon parts and accessories for Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Djibouti, Iraq, Jordan, Niger, Pakistan, Peru, Romania and Somalia.
Army Contracting Command received nine bids for the contract via an Internet solicitation.
