FEMA to Adopt Compusearch Acquisition Mgmt System; Reid Jackson Comments

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will adopt an acquisition management system designed by Compusearch to act as FEMA’s official contract writing system.

FEMA will use the PRISM system to interface with the agency’s financial management system and more than 300 contracting professionals and other acquisition workers at the agency will have access to the tool, Compusearch said Friday.

The Department of Homeland Security , where FEMA resides, has implemented PRISM as its shared services acquisition and grants lifecycle management system with more than 1,400 DHS procurement professionals connected to the system.

Compusearch CEO Reid Jackson said his company aims to help FEMA “prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from and mitigate the hazards that are the core of its mission,” through the acquisition management service.

PRISM is designed to incorporate lifecycle acquisition functional support and architectural support functions for site hierarchy, segregation and scale.
