Ed Sayadian, president of mission networks at Harris Corp., has said Congress should continue to advance long-term investments in the Federal Aviation Administration’s NextGen programs and other aviation modernization initiatives.
“Without this investment, the significant and important modernization gains will be threatened, subjecting passengers to unnecessary delays and sustaining aviation operations that are less environmentally friendly,” Sayadian wrote in a blog entry posted Thursday for The Hill newspaper.
He cited some of the developments in air traffic communications and navigation through the deployment of the Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast and DataComm systems under the NextGen initiative.
