Steve Cook, director of corporate development and a vice president of Dynetics, has been named a fellow with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in recognition of his aerospace sector contributions.

Cook was responsible for Dynetics’ launch programs, orbital spacecraft, analysis works, planetary exploration and nanotechnology research as the former director of space technologies, Dynetics said Wednesday.

“He has had major contributions to key technology and spaceflight programs,” said Dynetics CEO David King.

Cook previously led NASA space technology programs and the Ares projects office before he joined Dynetics.

AIAA will induct Cook and other 2016 AIAA fellows and honorary fellows at the AIAA Aerospace Spotlight Awards Gala on June 15 in Washington.
