The Army Research Laboratory has asked for information on commercial tools and services to facilitate research and development of command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.
ARL’s Computational and Information Sciences Directorate is also interested in collaborating with industry to explore supercomputing architectures for the U.S. Army and the Defense Department, the military branch said Monday in a FedBizOpps notice.
Technical areas under the scope of the needed C5ISR services include:
- High-performance networking
- Computational architectures
- Computational sciences
- High-performance computing modernization
- Corporate information management services and collaboration environment
- Integrated distributed virtual research network scientific system administration
- Network sciences research
- Network security and assessment
The Army will accept industry input through April 8 and looks to use a multiple-award cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the potential acquisition program.
