American Systems has completed phase one of the testing infrastructure for the Program Executive Office Defense Healthcare Management Systems under a General Services Administration Connections II contract.
West Virginia-based Allegany Ballistics Laboratory hosts the testing infrastructure to maintain information technology systems, applications, networks and virtual environments, American Systems said Monday.
“American Systems is delighted to be supporting PEO DHMS with their important mission of modernizing the military health system electronic health record and establishing seamless medical data interoperability within the [Defense Department], the [Department of Veterans Affairs] and the private sector,” said Peter Smith, president and CEO of American Systems.
Smith added that the work is part of American Systems’ effort to help “improve the healthcare of the active duty military, veterans and their beneficiaries.”
