The Small Business Administration has called on vendors to help train small companies on cybersecurity through cyber tools and courses, Federal Times reported Friday.
Aaron Boyd writes the SBA issued a request for information to solicit proposals from companies that can develop an interactive cybersecurity training as part of the agency’s 8(a) small business development program.
“[Participants] will learn how to most effectively secure information through best cybersecurity practices, identify their risk and the types of cyber threats, and learn best practices for guarding against cyber threats,” the RFI stated, according to the report.
Submissions for the request will close on Jan. 15, the report said.
SBA seeks virtual instructor-led training, roll-playing simulations and other online formats, Boyd reports.
