NTT Communications has launched a new data center in Osaka, Japan as an addition to its Nexcenter data center service.
The Osaka 5 Data Center located in Japan’s Kansai region consists of 11 floors and has systems designed to reduce the impact of earthquake and other natural disasters, such as seismic-isolation device and seismic damper, NTT Communications said Monday.
The fifth data facility is linked to the company’s data center in western Japan that uses optical fibers in cable tunnels to facilitate Internet exchange.
The data center also has a cooling wall system that works to move cold air into the server room and offers clients with rental office spaces to help them handle business continuity planning operations.
