NCR has been selected to help build a commerce platform for the Defense Commissary Agency to drive customer experience across the agency’s global network of military commissaries.
DeCA plans to begin deployment of the company’s Retail ONE omnichannel retailing hub at the agency later this year, NCR said Monday.
Retail One will work to integrate the agency’s store and sales channel management and back office software applications as well as operate with a commissary rewards system that Inmar developed for the agency, NCR noted.
Stan Ratcliffe, president of NCR’s government systems business, said the company also seeks to help DeCA adapt to integrate Internet of Things into its retail operations.
DeCA has implemeted NCR’s Power HQ Vendor Portal to manage commissary prices and products and Power Inventory and Power DAX tools for retail demand and order management.
NCR also provided its Connected Payments technology to help the agency process and secure payments.
