The Department of the Navy has issued a second request for information on commercial information technology hardware and operational support services ahead of a recompete of its Next Generation Enterprise Network program.
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command asked interested vendors to submit their input by Jan. 15, according to a FedBizOpps notice posted Dec. 28.
Hewlett-Packard Enterprise provides end-user hardware and associated support to the Navy and Marine Corps through the current NGEN acquisition vehicle and is scheduled to complete the current round of work in June 2018.
The Navy plans to issue a follow-on contract to procure “end-user hardware both as a service and via purchase,” C4ISR & Networks reported Wednesday
The recompete contract’s winner will be tasked to provide computers, printers and headsets as well as provisioning, storage, configuration, maintenance and end-of-life disposal of classified and unclassified workstations and peripherals.
