Lockheed Martin and clean energy company Blue Earth will collaborate on a project to provide heat and power and facilitate energy savings at the Brooklyn United Methodist Church Home in New York.
Blue Earth said Tuesday the project covers lighting and boiler upgrades, cooling and heating unit replacements, larger standby generators and a combined heat and power unit.
Lockheed will provide design, procurement, economic modeling and project management services, while Blue Earth will support construction and the operations and maintenance of the energy equipment.
“We are committed to helping businesses and organizations implement innovative ways to save energy now and into the future,” said Frank Armijo, vice president of Lockheed’s energy business.
