A subsidiary of Kratos Defense & Security Solutions will offer radiofrequency satellite monitoring and interference detection services to one of the components of the U.S. Strategic Command under the expanded contract.
SAT Corp. will also provide geolocation and mitigation support for the Joint Functional Component Command for Space, Kratos said Tuesday.
Greg Caicedo, a vice president and general manager at SAT Corp., said the subsidiary will use Kratos’ Monics carrier monitoring platform, Compass device monitoring tool, satID geolocation system and its network operations facility in Colorado to deliver services to JFCC Space.
JFCC Space works to protect commercial satellite bandwidth the Defense Department leases in order to support broadband communications, surveillance and reconnaissance operations among field units and commanders.
