A General Dynamics business unit has received a certification under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program to offer a cloud computing platform to U.S. federal, state and local government agencies.
General Dynamics Information Technology said Monday it developed GDIT Cloud to provide users with visibility into IT systems and to proactively monitor infrastructure for security problems.
“Federal agencies’ adoption of cloud computing for mission applications is accelerating,” said Marcus Collier, GDIT senior vice president for the health and civilian solutions division.
GDIT Cloud will work to help public sector clients implement and manage performance of cloud-based applications, he added.
The offering is designed to help government customers move applications to public, private or hybrid cloud environments, General Dynamics noted.
