DRS Technologies has unveiled a 10-pound digital tuner that works to detect weak high-frequency radio signals.
The Harrier Multichannel Wideband High-Frequency Digital Tuner is designed to capture signals of interest through its 28 digital down converters distributed across its four wideband channels, DRS said Wednesday.
The DRS-built tuner has a dynamic range of up to 120 decibels and works to analyze the whole HF spectrum that ranges between 0.5 megahertz and 30 MHz.
Steve Robillard, vice president of business development for signal solutions business at DRS, said the digital tuner aims to help commercial and government clients perform mission-critical operations.
