Northrop Grumman has awarded CPI Aerostructures a potential $30 million contract to supply structural kits and related components for integration with the outer wing panels of Northrop-built E-2D Advanced Hawkeye planes.
The contract also covers supply chain management, parts source selection and manufacturing engineering support services for Northrop, CPI Aerostructures said Thursday.
Northrop will build four E-2D airborne early warning and control aircraft for the Japanese government under a potential $1.7 billion foreign military sales transaction that the State Department approved in June 2015.
CPI has in turn awarded a Kaman Aerosystems business unit in Jacksonville, Florida, a contract extension valued at approximately $11 million to fabricate and supply sheet metal and extrusion components for OWPs of E-2D and C-2A Greyhound aircraft, Kaman said Thursday.
Kaman will perform work through 2018.
