PwCÂ and India-based NIIT University will offer a master’s degree program on cybersecurity in an effort to address the demand for professionals that will work to counter cyber threats in India, the Economic Times reported Monday.
Neha Alawadhi writes PwC and the university will choose the candidates for the two-year course in July and subject the selected students to an internship program at PwC India during the course’s second year.
“Cybersecurity is a major focus area and the growth driver for PwC India,” said Deepak Kapoor, chairman of PwC India.
“We currently have around 300 people in this practice and will need to increase in tenfold in about 4-5 years.”
