Octo Consulting Group has received a five-year, $34 million contract to provide operations, software engineering and support services for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency‘s Agile Web Presence program.
The company will develop NGA’s internal and external Internet services and various unclassified and classified networks under the AWP program, Octo said Dec. 1.
NGA’s information technology directorate awarded the contract under a fixed-price-per-sprint contract vehicle to purchase development capacity.
“This type of contract structure allows NGA to see what it is paying for as progress is made, ensuring that the deliverables meet the needs of the agency and fulfill its mission requirements,” said Mehul Sanghani, Octo CEO and founder.
Octo launched a development ecosystem using the Amazon Web Services‘ GovCloud tool to collaborate with NGA on the software program.
