Lockheed Martin Corp. has turned the 32nd C-5M Super Galaxy airlifter over to the U.S. Air Force to complete the aircraft’s round of deliveries for 2015.
The aircraft was transported to Stewart Air National Guard Base in New York from Lockheed’s Marietta, Georgia-based facility, Lockheed said Monday.
The Air Force is set to perform internal paint restoration on the aircraft before assigning it to Travis Air Force Base in California.
The aircraft will bring the number of Super Galaxy airlifters based in Travis to 14.
