IHS: Network Threat Protection Market to Reach $1.3B in 2019

IHS has released a new report that forecasts the network advanced threat protection market to hit $1.3 billion in 2019.

ATP global sales reached $194 million in the third quarter of 2015, up 53 percent from the same period last year, IHS said Thursday.

Jeff Wilson, senior research director for cybersecurity technology at HIS, said the ATP market is expected to reach a 22 percent compound annual growth rate from 2014 through 2019.

“Network ATP is by far the fastest-growing segment in the content security market,” Wilson said.

He added that “ATP will be available to less savvy customers much more quickly than IPS (intrusion prevention systems).”

The report ranks Intel Security as the top content security gateway provider, followed by Blue Coat and Cisco.
