Radisys, Octasic and Quortus have introduced a multiradio system designed for use in military and public safety operations.
Radisys said Monday the ruggedized radio system is designed as a combination of its small cell software systems with Octasic’s platforms and Quortus’ virtualized evolved packet core service into a complete, network-in-a-box tool.
The system is built for military and public safety professionals to deploy it in a portable network in an unmanned aerial vehicle or a backpack with the radio tool.
The radio is designed to work with 4G/LTE, 3G and 2G air interfaces for remote areas and support a maximum of 32 users.
