Louis Berger has received a five-year, $7.5 million contract from the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission to rehabilitate water and wastewater systems in Prince George’s and Montgomery counties in Maryland.
Louis Berger will design hydraulic analyses of water and sewer pipeline systems and engineer pipelines, pump stations and storage tanks under the contract, the company said Wednesday.
The contract contains a three-year base period and a two-year option.
“Rehabilitating the region’s water and wastewater facilities to extend their overall lifespan is a critical priority for WSSC, and we remain dedicated to the WSSC’s mission of delivering safe, clean and reliable water,†said Anwer Hasan, a Louis Berger senior vice president.
Louis Berger will also carry out work in surveying, traffic control, research, utility markings and reports in connection with water main replacement projects.
