Kuwait will purchase $115 million in Sniper Advanced Targeting Pods and other tools built by Lockheed Martin under a foreign military sales agreement with the U.S.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Thursday the State Department has approved the sale of 14 AN/AAQ-33 targeting pods, spares and accessories to Kuwait
The sale also includes systems integration, tests, software development, maintenance, pilot training and technical documentation services.
Kuwait plans to integrate the targeting pods into its F/A-18 aircraft.
The targeting pods work to detect and engage moving and fixed targets.
