The State Department has Finland’s request to purchase Lockheed Martin-made guided multiple launch rocket systems and alternative warhead rockets under a $150 million foreign military sales agreement with the U.S. government.
Lockheed will also provide equipment, parts and logistical support for the overseas customer under the agreement, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.
Finland ordered 40 launch rocket pods, 15 pods of M31A1 unitary missiles and 25 pods of M30A1 alternative warhead missiles in an effort to bolster the country’s border security.
Lockheed’s missile and fire control business will also provide publications, personnel training and training equipment, software development, engineering, and technical and logistics support to Finland.
