Bill Richardson serves as director of analysis at Thomson Reuters‘ special services business, where he oversees the delivery of analytical insights on insider threat countermeasures to clients.
Prior to this role, Richardson worked in various analytic and leadership positions at the CIA for 32 years.
He served in the agency’s Senior Intelligence Service and provided intelligence briefings materials to President Barack Obama and the White House’s national security team.
Richardson also worked as senior adviser to the U.S. Director of National Intelligence, as well as helped spearhead the U.S.’ Office of South Asia Analysis.
Earlier in his career, Richardson held the role of intelligence briefer to Vice President Al Gore, oversaw the assessment of territorial conflicts globally and supported the Middle East Peace Process.
He is also a former arms control analyst focused on examining Russia’s strategic nuclear force structure and operations.
He serves as an adjunct faculty member at Towson University, where he earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in geography and environmental planning.
