DigitalGlobe and Exploration Mapping Group have forged a global information partnership in an effort to deliver imagery products to natural resources customers.
Exploration Mapping plans to use DigitalGlobe’s WorldView-3 satellite to identify geological features and mineral signatures as well as locate petroleum sources, DigitalGlobe said Thursday.
“Our customers will benefit from our new specialized suite of WorldView-3 image products used for geoscientific mapping, infrastructure planning, environmental characterization and incident response,” said Dan Taranik, Exploration Mapping Group’s managing director.
Exploration Mapping Group provides geospatial analysis and information services to petroleum and mining industries.
