CACI International has received a three-year, $38.5 million task order from the U.S. Navy to extend the company’s defense health readiness support for the U.S. armed forces’ medical information systems.

The company will perform engineering, development, testing, training, implementation and help desk support for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic’s Theater Medical Information Program, CACI said Thursday.

Ken Asbury, CACI’s president and CEO, said the company will help “to sustain and enhance the defense health readiness” of the armed forces.

CACI received the task order under an $899 million contract awarded by the Navy in 2013.

The medical information system is the Defense Department’s tool to document clinical care data and track supplies and equipment across the military services.
