CACI International has released a new system for customers to detect and identify unmanned aerial systems they believe could be in restricted airspace.
The SkyTracker precision system uses radio links to monitor drones that fly in protected airspace and locate ground operators, CACI said Thursday.
Ken Asbury, CACI president and CEO, said the company designed the system “to address the rapidly escalating threat posed by the misuse of unmanned aircraft systems.â€
SkyTracker is built to help responders gain information in a specific geographic location without an impact on legitimate electronics and communications systems.
The system is also designed as scalable and to operate in different types of environments, CACI says.
